PICNIC NOTIFICATION (Rev 1)

The WARTS Net annual picnic will be held in North Bend Washington this year at the Valley Camp, (a private location) about 2 miles North of I-90 at Exit 34. “Ken’s Truck Stop.” http://valleycamp.org/explore/picnicshelter
This year the Columbia Basin Net and the Northwest Single Side band Net will be joining us for our first Tri-Net Picnic. We will also welcome any “Golden Bear” Net Members who may be in the area on this date.
This is the Western Washington half of two joint efforts
by all three Nets that will hopefully provide increased opportunity for all net
members and amateurs to share fellowship and fun by providing one picnic
location in Western Washington and one in Eastern Washington.
The Columbia Basin Net, the Northwest Single Side
band Net, and WARTS picnic will be held in Moses Lake Washington on August 14th
at the Blue Heron Park at 11:30 AM.

Full hook up camping is available at the Valley Camp. You need to reserve soon
as there are not too many sites.
Motel(s) are as close as the “Ken’s truck Stop” exit and also in North Bend.
Of course the famous Outlet mall is just off I-90 at Exit 31.
This is a pot luck event so bring your favorite side dish, some chairs. Should
you wish to Ham, a tri-band beam is ready to go along with trees ready for wire
antennas. The shelter sports complete kitchen facilities, hot/cold water, and
refrigerator. In case of inclement weather, there is plenty of shelter cover.
Hot
Dogs, Burgers, Tableware, Condiments, Pop, and Ice Cream will be provided by the
Net. Several door prizes will be provided by the Net.
While there are no parking or attendance fees for our picnic, donations
are welcome.
We
are considering a live “donation” auction of any radio and electronic equipment
you would like to donate to WARTS Net.
